This piece has been influenced by The Dampier Archipelago in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. It is a chain of 42 coastal islands, islets and rocks. I was lucky enough to visit most of the islands in a sea kayak expedition 10 years ago, and lucky again to revisit the islands again 2 years ago.
The contrast of the colours between the copper rich rocks against the crystal colours of the oceans caught my eyes. I hope to share what I experienced through this pour.
Bring a little bit of The Dampier to your house as the colours transition from copper to turquoise to metallic deep ocean blue that shimmers under natural light.
The edges have been painted with white for a clean and crispy finish.
Each piece measures 30cm (L) x 30cm (W) x 1.2cm (D) and has a combined weight of approximately 1.5kg.
